WHAT TO WEAR:

In Houston, it is wet and partly cloudy year-round. The summers are hot and humid and the winters are cool.

Although our facility is mostly indoors, there are some outdoor activities & encounters to experience – please dress accordingly:

  • Year-round: Always be prepared for rain, wear comfortable shoes and clothing.
  • Summer: Shorts, lightweight clothing, & sunscreen.
  • Winter: Layer up & have a comfortable jacket.

AGE REQUIREMENTS FOR SELECT ENCOUNTERS AND/OR ACTIVITIES:

FOR THE HEALTH AND SAFETY OF OUR ANIMALS AND GUESTS THE FOLLOWING RESTRICTIONS APPLY:

  • KANGAROO: Height Restrictions & Sanitary Conditions Apply
    • Must be 54″ tall
    • Guests that own cats or have been around cats within 48 hours CANNOT enter
  • TAMANDUA: Age Restrictions Apply
    • Ages 5 & under with a paid adult
  • LEMUR ENCOUNTERS: Age & Sanitary Conditions Apply
    • Ages 6+ only
    • Ages 6-8 with a paid adult
    • 8+ can enter alone
    • Guests that own cats or have been around cats within 48 hours MUST take extra sanitation steps
  • CAMEL: Height & Age Restrictions Apply
    • Must be 54″ tall
    • 10+ only can participate
  • KINKAJOU: Age Restrictions Apply
    • 10+ only can participate
  • SLOTH: Age Restrictions Apply
    • Ages 5 & under with a paid adult

OUTSIDE FOOD AND BEVERAGES:

Outside food and beverages are not permitted in Houston Interactive Aquarium & Animal Preserve but may be consumed in the outside parking lot. Alcoholic beverages and glass containers are not permitted anywhere on Houston Interactive property.

HOUSTON INTERACTIVE RE-ENTRY:

Guests exiting Houston Interactive who plan to return the same business day must have their receipt for valid re-entry. Transferring receipts between third parties is not permitted and is grounds for ejection without refund.

SMOKING AND VAPING:

For the comfort and convenience of our animals and guests, smoking and vaping is not permitted within any part of Houston Interactive, nor within 100 ft of our facility.

PETS:

Pets are not permitted in Houston Interactive, but service animals are always welcome. Under the ADA, a service animal is defined as a dog that has been individually trained to do work or perform tasks for an individual with a disability. The task(s) performed by the dog must be directly related to the person’s disability. Please note that emotional-support therapy, comfort, and companion animals are not considered service animals under the ADA and may not be brought into Houston Interactive. Pets may not be left unattended in the parking lot or your vehicle.

UNATTENDED MINORS:

We recommend that minors under 18 be accompanied by an adult. Houston Interactive Aquarium & Animal Preserve does not assume any responsibility or liability for unattended minors.

LOST OR STOLEN ITEMS:

Houston Interactive Aquarium & Animal Preserve is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged items. Items lost can be reported to Guest Services or

PHOTO/VIDEO DISCLOSURE:

Guests grant permission to high-resolution photos and/or videos taken at the park to be used for advertising purposes without payment or compensation.

GUEST BEHAVIOR:

All Guests are expected to behave in an appropriate, family-friendly manner. Unruly, disruptive, or offensive behavior is strictly prohibited, and will not be tolerated.

REFUND POLICY:

Houston Interactive Aquarium & Animal Preserve single-day tickets, annual passes, credits, interactive experiences, premium bottles, and buckets are non-refundable and non-transferable.

ALL CREDIT CARD TRANSACTIONS WILL INCUR A 3% CONVENIENCE FEE.

HOLD HARMLESS AND INDEMNIFICATION AGREEMENT:

By entering Houston Interactive Aquarium & Animal Preserve and participating in any related activities within, all Guests agree to hold harmless and indemnify Houston Interactive Aquarium & Animal Preserve LLC, its owners, operators, employees, and agents from any and all claims. All Guests assume the inherent risks associated with the feeding and touching of live animals and fully accept the risk of bodily injury or harm. These risks could include but are not limited to bumps, bruises, scratches, loss of vision, bodily injury, skin disorders, mental disorders, dismemberment, or death. Please take care of children. Follow all posted rules and instructions provided by staff. Protect eyes, face, and body.

COVID-19 WARNING

Houston Interactive Aquarium & Animal Preserve has taken enhanced health and safety measures – for you, our other Guests, and Team Members. You must follow all posted instructions while visiting our facility.

An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 and other pathogens or viruses exists in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to sever illness and death. According to the Centers for Disease Control Prevention, senior citizens, and guests with underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable.

By visiting Houston Interactive Aquarium & Animal Preserve, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.
